&lt;font size="2" face="Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif"&gt;Qualquer frase representa um tipo, de acordo com a intenção de quem a usa.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Existem quatro tipos de frases:&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Declarativa&lt;/b&gt; - serve para darmos uma informação (quando declaramos ou informamos alguma coisa).&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;br /&gt;
     &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Interrogativa&lt;/b&gt; - tem como intenção formular uma pergunta (quando perguntamos ou interrogamos).&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;br /&gt;
     &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Imperativa&lt;/b&gt; - tem como função dar uma ordem, um conselho, fazer um pedido (quando damos uma ordem).&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;br /&gt;
     &lt;/li&gt;
    &lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Exclamativa&lt;/b&gt; - serve para transmitirmos sentimentos, sensações (quando mostramos admiração ou exclamamos algo).&lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;br /&gt;
    &lt;br /&gt;
     &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;
&lt;p&gt;A cada um dos tipos de frase corresponde um ou mais sinais de pontuação. Este sinal de pontuação corresponde, na oralidade, à entoação com que a dizemos.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Ao tipo interrogativo corresponde o «?», ao imperativo corresponde o «.» ou o «!», ao exclamativo corresponde o «!» e ao declarativo corresponde o «.» ou o «!».&lt;br /&gt;

Cada frase só pode pertencer a um tipo, mas cada tipo de frase pode ter uma das seguintes formas:&lt;br /&gt;

&lt;li&gt;Cada frase só tem um tipo (de quatro tipos possíveis) e uma forma (afirmativa ou negativa).&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
 &lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Ao analisares uma frase, ela será do tipo X na forma Y.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;Exemplos:&lt;br /&gt;
    «O Luís não gosta de uvas.» (tipo afirmativo / forma negativa)&lt;br /&gt;
    «Salta para aqui!» (tipo imperativo/ forma afirmativa)&lt;br /&gt;
    «Não acredito nisto!» (tipo exclamativo/ forma negativa)&lt;/ul&gt;
